Viscose: Absorbent and Warm
Viscose, which is also commonly known as rayon when it is made into a fabric. It is difficult to determine if it is a natural or synthetic fabric as it is made from wood pulp. Its source material is organic but the process to get it from organic substance to fabric is long and strenuous. The name of this substance comes from the process that’s used to make it; at one stage, rayon is a viscous, honey-like liquid that later settles into a solid form.
Characteristics:
Due to its source material, rayon fabric has qualities like cotton, absorbent and warm. It acts like plant-based fabrics. It is relatively inexpensive and can be dyed easily so it has a wide range of colour choices. Rayon can mimic silk and can be used as a substitute
