Silk: Natural and Rich
Silk fabric, a highly breathable fabric, can appropriate for all climates. Collected from farmed silkworms, silk is smooth as well as fairly uniform in colour, and has a slight sheen. If you weave silk collected from wild silkworms, you will get more colour and texture since wild silkworms have more natural lumps in the filaments. Wild silk is stronger than silk collected from farmed silkworms.
Characteristics:
Silk is good at absorbing dyes and creates rich, deep colours. It is a natural fabric. Dry cleaning is recommended for silk fabrics.
