Linen: Durable and Soft

Linen is a flax-based textile that is predominantly used for soft furnishings and some upholstery. While linen is similar to cotton, it is made from fibres derived from the stems of the flax plant instead of the bolls that grow around cotton seeds.
Characteristics:
Linen does not have a lot of stretch so it can be used for upholstery, it is very durable. It is resistant to abrasion and is hard wearing. It is a natural fibre which has qualities including breathability, absorbent and soft to the touch. Linen has a subtle sheen due to is wax coating.
